The ABSDC is an area club affiliated with the United Belgian Shepherd Dog Association. The UBSDA is the National Parent club for the Belgian Shepherd Dog in the United Kennel Club (UKC).

The ABSDC membership area covers Northern New England, USA, as well as Eastern Quebec and the Maritime Provinces of Canada.
